Lahar was created in awareness of the world demand for a fair trade business, friendly to the environment and supporting the

sustainable development of countries from which we purchase.

The choice of our products and our suppliers is essential. We commit ourselves on the quality and authentencity because we enjoy a privileged access with craftsmen who realize the pieces of furniture and other unique ritual objects inserted to our catalogue. You'll find many postcards and pottery unique to this site.

These selections have been purchased from a charity based in Manila in the Philippines: Entrepreneur Volunteer Assistance Charity Foundation ( http://evacf.org ). They serve our second objective to participate in a sustainable development of livelihood. This volunteer organization helps ethnic minority groups, such as Aetha, to access a basic education in overseeing the construction of primary schools in their remote villages.
